Hereville: The Musical is a girl-powered fairytale musical based on the popular graphic novels by Barry Deutsch. The show tells the story of Mirka, an 11-year-old Orthodox Jewish girl on a quest for adventure, magic, heroism, and a place in her own family. Celebrating daughterhood and the joy of honoring your history while staying true to yourself, Hereville is perfect for girls of all ages and the people who love them.
Hereville was developed in part at the 92Y Musical Theatre Development Lab as a member of the 2018-2019 cohort. The most recent work in progress reading was performed at Playwrights Horizons in April 2019.
